For business owners

Thinking about selling your business?

Whether you are planning retirement, looking for a successor, or simply exploring options, we will listen first — and give you a straight answer about whether DSVG is the right fit.

What matters to you

What matters to you, matters to us.

Most owners we speak with care about more than price. These are the commitments we bring to every conversation.

01

Your employees

The team is a core reason a business is worth acquiring. Our plan starts with stability and clear communication for them.

02

Your customers

Service continuity and relationships come first. Customers should experience the same care — and over time, better.

03

Your name and reputation

Where the company's name carries trust, we intend to keep it.

04

Your role

Stay involved, transition gradually, or step back. We design the handover around your goals.

05

Your privacy

Confidential from the first call. We sign an NDA before reviewing detailed information.

06

Your time

Clear next steps and early, honest feedback — so no one's time is wasted.

The process

How the process works.

A typical path from first conversation to closing. Every transaction is different, and we will explain each step as we go.

  1. Introductory conversation

A confidential call about you, your business and your goals.

  2. Initial review

Under NDA, we review summary financial and operating information.

  3. Indication of interest

If there is a fit, we share a written outline of value and structure.

  4. Diligence & planning

We confirm the details and build the transition plan together.

  5. Closing & transition

Ownership transfers. The agreed handover begins.

FAQ

Questions owners ask.

Direct answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, ask us.

What happens to my employees?

Your employees are a central part of what we are acquiring. Our first priority after closing is stability: clear communication, consistent pay and benefits administration, and no sweeping changes during the transition. Over time we invest in training, systems and career paths. We do not acquire businesses with a plan to cut staff.

Will my company keep its identity?

In most cases, yes. If your company's name and reputation carry trust with customers and referral sources, keeping them is in everyone's interest. Any branding decisions are discussed with you before closing.

How long does a transaction take?

It varies with the size and complexity of the business, the financing involved and how quickly information is available. Many lower middle-market transactions take roughly three to six months from a signed letter of intent to closing. We will give you a realistic timeline early and keep you updated.

Do I need to leave immediately?

No. Most owners stay for an agreed transition period to introduce us to employees, customers and partners. The length depends on your goals and the business — from a few months to a longer advisory role.

Can I stay involved after the sale?

Yes, if you would like to. Some owners keep a leadership or advisory role; others retain an ownership stake through a majority acquisition or equity rollover. We will discuss what you want your involvement to look like from the first conversation.

Can part of the purchase price be structured?

Yes. Depending on the situation, a transaction may combine cash at closing with seller financing, deferred payments, an earn-out or retained equity. Structure is agreed together with you and your advisors. We recommend that every owner work with their own attorney and accountant.

What information do you need initially?

Very little to start. A conversation and a general overview of the business is enough for a first discussion. If there is mutual interest, we sign an NDA and ask for summary financials (typically the last three years and year-to-date), a description of services and customers, and an overview of the team.

Will this conversation stay confidential?

Yes. We do not contact your employees, customers or suppliers without your permission, and we sign an NDA before reviewing detailed information.
